With travel restrictions being lifted in a few countries, please note our reservations team is currently handling a large volume of communications from guests wishing to book and / or get more travel information, which significantly impacts our response time.


On arrival to all hotel units in Portugal, you must currently present one of the below requirements:

• EU Digital COVID Certificate;

• PCR test, performed within 72 hours prior to arrival;

• Antigen test with laboratory report, carried out within 48 hours prior to its presentation;

• Rapid antigen test, carried out in the presence of a health or pharmaceutical professional who certifies that it has been performed along with its result, within 24 hours prior to its presentation;

If your country requires you to take a test in Portugal before returning home, we inform that Alfagar has a partnership with a local clinic and can help facilitate the scheduling of tests for you and your family. You may request this directly to the Reception team during your stay, or you can also pre-book it by emailing the Reception team of the aparthotel where you will be staying:






The situation changes almost every day and therefore flexibility is required from all parties. We understand that in these hectic times, you are worried about the holidays you booked and with that in mind we have made it possible to postpone them until 31 October 2022.  


In order to coordinate your date changes, should you not be able to travel to enjoy your upcoming holidays in the Algarve, please contact the travel agency through which you made your booking, or contact us on if you made your booking via our website or directly with our reservations team. 


For guests with existing reservations made directly with us who cannot travel due to restrictions in place, we are offering added benefits when confirming a future reservation in the form of a credit voucher, which includes:  

- Further 10% discount on your next stay, based on the best rate available, which will be available without any date restrictions.
